A passionate and motivated educator, I believe in relationships over curriculum. I have taught in the IB curriculum for 11 years now. Currently, I am the MYP1 Coordinator and MYP Language & Literature Teacher at Pathways World School. I put relationships over curriculum and consider myself to be a 'Warm Demander' who does not cease to bring out the best in each of my students while maintaining the warmth and care needed for a well-rounded development of students. I believe in the spirit of inquiry with a focus on concept-driven and action-oriented learning. Real-life connections with my teaching are important to bring meaning to the learning process. I strive to create a learning environment that fosters collaboration, mutual respect, a growth mindset, and risk-taking abilities in a safe, yet challenging setup. I love collaborating with my professional learning network on Twitter and LinkedIn to learn more about the education world and continue to adopt best practices from around the world into my classroom.
