Erick Mukiira is a seasoned Theatre/a Performing Arts IGCSE & IBMYP/DP teacher. He provides an excellent link between Theatre theories, theatrical arts research and staging theatrical pieces of different genre. He has successfully directed and staged 20 full length stage plays of different genres working with over 150 students cast members. He is also an excellent playwright and a homeroom. He has over 14 years experience in the education industry and has demonstrated an excellent IB Learner profile in his current and past teaching experience. He is passionate about theatre, grooming other Arts teachers, and fostering an excellent relationship with faculties. Erick is passionate about teaching and empowering students to be their best. He believes that creating a positive, inclusive, and welcoming environment foster greater learning and builds self-confidence. This is very helpful in scheduling and planning ahead but still staying flexible for the unexpected. It also plays a great role when hiring staff members. - Understands the school's functions & policies such as Strategy, Organisational Structure, behavior policy, language policy, child protection policy, exam policy, and IT policy that plays a critical role in the execution of a staff/ a teacher in the school. - Excellent Project Management skills. This ensures that all annual plays, performances for school events, projects, programs, and strategic plans are carried out efficiently and within established timelines to facilitate the accomplishment of the school's vision and mission statement.
