At Heritage International School, the "Wellbeing Walk" initiative has been highly effective at boosting the physical and mental well-being of students and reducing exam stress and anxiety. The school's Head of Pastoral Care, Larisa Mirza, has been leading this initiative, which encourages students to take a short walk during their lunch break.
Many students who took part in the Wellbeing Walk program have stated that it helps them relax and forget about their anxieties about examinations. Researchers have found that students' contentment, self-perception, and self-esteem enhance after taking a slow stroll during lunch. It additionally encourages them to maintain a more active life.
My students who recently took the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint tests have been very positive about the program, saying that it helped them unwind and take a break from the stress of exams.
