Jocelyn Dimaala School Principal

Jocelyn Dimaala, School Principal of Unida Christian Colleges Inc. and Project Instigator of Global SDG Quest (GSQ), outlines the recent project she has spearheaded to foster awareness of the UN's SDGs through game-based learning.

Pioneered by Ms. Jocelyn Dimaala, a global sustainability ambassador and School Principal at Unida Christian Colleges, along with her dedicated team, the Global SDG Quest (GSQ) stands as a groundbreaking international project. Utilizing Game-based Learning (GBL), GSQ fosters awareness and comprehension of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In collaboration with the Global Sustainable Futures Network and Gaming Revolution for International Development – Breshna.io, GSQ transcends conventional game development to become a transformative movement. Engaging participants from 50+ schools across 20 countries, this three-month project promotes a collaborative global perspective, encouraging action and innovative solutions through game development.

GSQ's primary focus on SDG 13, to take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts, within the Climate Action Game Jam's Individual category, is complemented by a thorough exploration of other SDGs in the group category. Through the integration of play, innovation, and a global perspective, GSQ emerges as a catalyst for change, symbolizing a commitment to shared SDG understanding and providing a robust platform for collaborative efforts toward a sustainable future. The Global SDG Quest conference was held on November 25, 2023 which showcased the Top 10 individual and group outputs, featuring 12 esteemed founders and coordinators from academia, technology, and environmental action communities.

The triumphant winners not only received certificates of achievement but were also honoured as Global SDG Quest Ambassadors. A notable highlight is that the achievements of these outstanding participants in the Global SDG Quest initiative will be showcased on Breshna's metaverse, the Breshnaverse, in the upcoming new year.
