Head of Pastoral and Designated Safeguarding Lead
Dwight School London
I graduated with a degree in engineering and went on to study his MA in Social Justice at UCL where I first began to look at the intersection between social justice and education. I have been in education for 7 years and I am currently the Head of Pastoral and Designated Safeguarding Lead at Dwight School London. In addition, I am the Global Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator for the Dwight Schools sites in London, New York, Shanghai, Seoul and Dubai as well as their online school. Outside of school I have been a regular contributor for Optimus Education and have written a series of blogs on diversity and inclusion in schools. One of my favourite lines in my most recent blogs was: "It is important to ensure that students see themselves in all aspects of school life" was published on the Independent Schools Council page. Most notably I presented at the International Baccalaureate’s Conference in 2021. Where I spoke to school leaders about developing anti-racism initiatives in their schools. I enjoy every aspect of what I do as an educator and continue to be astonished and grateful that I have the opportunity to share my thoughts and ideas with likeminded educators.
