Katrina Edmunds

Academic Counsellor

International School of Lausanne, Switzerland

I strive to enable students to define and achieve their aspirations in life and particularly in transition from high school to university. Helping students understand their identity, their values, passion and purpose is central to my work. I endeavour to be an ally and feel the urgency to raise awareness on issues of equity and to apply it to my professional practice. I embrace innovation and feedback in order to best serve my students and school. The first part of my career was spent promoting British Higher education to international students while working for the University of Dundee and then Edinburgh, where I progressed to managing international student recruitment and then study abroad. Pursuing a Master's in the Management of International Higher Education provided a deeper understanding of international student mobility and higher education globally. The UCLA College Counselling course provided a solid framework for advising students for the USA. The CTEDU Academic Life Coaching qualification is enabling me to help my students to the best of my ability. I love what I do!
