Emma Pickering

Since 2013, Emma Pickering has been Early Years Lead at The British International School Budapest (BISB). In 2016, Emma began working closely with educators Krystina Tapia, Director of Practice, Anji Education, Inc. and Jesse Coffino, Director of Anji Education, Inc. to bring the Anji Play philosophy and approach to BISB. Over the course of four years, BISB has become the only Anji Play Demonstration Programme outside of China. Emma regularly visits early childhood programs in Anji County to learn from the children and educators there, and shares her work at conferences around the world. In 2019, she was invited by Ms. Cheng Xueqin to present at the first international conference hosted by the Anji Childhood Education Research Center. Emma, Krystina, and Jesse regularly collaborate as a writing team. http://www.anjiplay.com/
