K-12 Service Learning Coordinator
American School of DubaiI work within the confluence of service learning, global citizenship and sustainability. My hybrid educational role focuses on thought leadership, instructional coaching, systems thinking facilitation and shifting educational culture to catalyse sustainable institutional and curricular change. I lead, coordinate and supports the embedding of a dynamic school-wide program - Changemaker Education - that shifts the teaching and learning environment ever-so-gently toward the paradigm shift we all hope for. I have presented and facilitated sustainability, service learning and systems thinking workshops and professional training within schools, at conferences and online throughout the world. When not working with sustainability and service learning I am seen coaching student athletes (in volleyball and basketball), supporting environmental initiatives, engaging in outdoor learning experiences or spending quality time with my wife and two beautiful daughters, ideally in natural settings.
