Middle School Math and Learning Support Teacher
I am currently teaching in the American International School of Johannesburg, South Africa as a Middle School Math and Learning Support Teacher. I recently finished my master's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies at the State University of New York, Buffalo State. Prior to South Africa, I taught in several international schools across the globe, namely, International School of Manila (Philippines), International School of Tanganyika (Dar es Salaam, Tanzania), and Academia Cotopaxi (Quito, Ecuador), where I co-built the first intensive learning support program in South America. I also had the privilege to present among other educators in Association of American Schools in South America (AASA) conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I am also a part of the MARIO Framework Educational Advisory Council, an educational movement partnering with teachers and schools around the world to reimagine special education in international schools, and serving as the Marketing and Communications Director for SENIA (Special Education Network and Inclusion Association) international Board. On top of teaching, I am also a volleyball coach in my former and present schools. I am an adrenaline junkie and enjoys seeing the world while ticking some bucket list activities – skydiving in Cape Town, swimming with whale sharks, paragliding in Brazil, and swimming at the edge of a waterfall to name but a few.
