Joel Jr Llaban

Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Justice at International Schools Services

Joel is an international education leader and lifelong learner dedicated to advancing anti-racism and DEIJ practices. With over 20 years in education, he has worked at Cebu International School, International School of Beijing, International School of Brussels, and The International School of Kuala Lumpur. Joel contributed as a team evaluator for NEASC and CIS accreditation visits, advised the CIS Board Committee on Inclusion, and was part of The International Educator's Editorial Team. He supports school leadership in fostering systemic change in DEIJ. Joel teaches DEIJB courses at The Principals Training Center and International Schools Services, and facilitates the DEIJ Certificate Program at AIELOC with SUNY.
