Climate Psychologist
Megan is committed to supporting the Green Leaders of Tomorrow-today- through education and wellbeing. She is co-director of Climate Psychologists, and creator of Mind and Planet. Mind and Planet bridges the gap between climate awareness and climate action, using the power of psychology. We train teachers to educate and champion students to navigate the climate crisis, cultivate personal and collective psychological resilience, communicate effectively and thrive as they take sustainable action. We believe teachers are in a prime position to empower the green leaders of tomorrow. We have expertly designed and curated resources and training for educators and students but we know that connection and community is key in the climate crisis. It’s is good for our mental health and the planet. Our interactive platform will go far beyond providing you with lesson plans and static content. We are here for you every step of the way through our workshops, drop-in support groups, coaching sessions and community forum to trouble-shoot, share ideas and best practices, tackle setbacks and celebrate successes. Megan has collaborated with local and national government around the UK on schools-based interventions for climate anxiety, as well as with broadcasters such as Sky and the BBC. She has been featured in media outlets such as The Guardian, Reuters, BBC, Time Magazine and Forbes. BBC Radio 4 and others. Her organisation is also contributing to a number of initiatives in the Philippines, including with the Climate Reality Project, and local schools. Alongside contributing to articles and book chapters related to the psychology of climate change she is also co-author of 'Turn the Tide on Climate Anxiety', published by Hachette/Jessica Kingsley and the upcoming younger persons guide to climate emotions, ‘You are unstoppable’ Jessica Kingsley Publishing Patrick believes passionately that adaptation to net zero is a deeply psychological process. He is here to help guide organisations to a more sustainable future – both for their people and the planet.
