Coordinator
Asociación Red Aminata
I am a secondary educator with almost 20 years experience teaching in international school systems. I taught Humanities in South America, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, working with diverse teams of colleagues and students throughout the journey. While teaching in Bulgaria, I co-founded and became an educational strategist for Team Up 2 Teach, an organization facilitating learning for refugees and similar crisis contexts in the Balkans. We established mentor programs, co-creation workshops, communities of practice, and a platform of curated teaching resources designed and tested by people working in the field with displaced populations. I am currently based in Valencia, Spain, where I am the coordinator at Asociación Red Aminata, a non-profit organization that advocates for a holistic and multi-sectoral approach to ending Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
